Burial will be in St. Luke's Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Minga, 82, a retired boatman, died Monday at Obici Memorial Hospital after long illness. He was a life-long resident of Rescue, Isle of Wight County, and a son of the late Isaac and Mrs. Mary Saunders Minga. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sara [sic; Vera] Powell Minga; five sons, Willis P. Minga, Newport News; Harry C. Minga, Lyman P. Minga, Littleton L. Minga and Duncan R. Minga, all of Rescue; two sisters, Mrs. P.H. Carter, Rescue, and Mrs. D.L. Mountjoy, Hampton; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** M. D. He was a life-long resident of Rescue, Isle of Wight County, and a son of the late Isaac and Mrs. Mary Saunders Minga. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sara [sic; Vera] Powell Minga; five sons, Willis P. Minga Newport News; Harry C. Minga, Lyman P. Minga, Littleton L. Minga, and Duncan R. His parents, Isaac T. & Mary Jane (SAUNDERS) MINGA, are buried in Old St. Luke's Cemetery. {IWCHS GSSTF report #17} His father (1831 - 1898) was a Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Co.
